Differently from what the common sense tells, germans too could build little and economy spiders like this one. However, this NSU still shows its german DNA as it’s powered by a Wankel rotary engine installed behind the rear axle.

The first thought we had when we saw this car was to admire how clear was the windscreen, before realizing that it is not in its place: indeed the seller says that this car needs a new one along with a new top. Vinyl interiors are original and looks good but the soft top must be replaced.

The seller says the the water cooled wankel engine turns but doesn’t run. Several rust spots on the lower side of the car are clearly visible but we can’t see a tragedy here. On the other side, rhis is a cute little spider which should be fun both to restore and drive. Find it for sale here in Lyon, IL, with bidding at $2,950 and reserve not met.
