Parbleu: 1965 Matra Bonnet DJet V

The Matra-Bonnet Djet V was originally designed by René Bonnet and produced by Matra after their takeover in 1964, it was the world’s first production mid-engined road car. This pioneering design set the stage for future sports cars and remains a celebrated innovation. The Djet V, introduced in 1965, featured several upgrades from the original models, including enhanced aerodynamics and improved engine performance.

This Djet V has undergone an extensive restoration, ensuring every detail is in top condition. From the new rims and tires to the fresh interior, no expense has been spared to bring this classic back to life. Under the hood, there is a new Renault engine 12 TS equipped with reinforced valve springs, paired with a 5-speed gearbox for smooth and responsive driving. Anew brake master cylinder, clutch, and clutch have been added by the seller.

This is not the first time we publish a DJet V, but it is certainly the first time we see one so beautiful: exceptional color and immaculate condition (even though there are no photos of the underbody and engine compartment) make this our favorite among those published and, surely, a very interesting value-for-money ratio. Find it for sale at €41,000 (today $44,000) here in Tarbes, France.
