Japan feat. Giugiaro: 1981 Isuzu 117 Coupé

An Isuzu 117 Coupe, a testament to the ingenuity of Giorgetto Giugiaro during his time at Ghia, one example of how Giugiaro could design anything, and that’s why he is the “Designer of the century”.

This model stands out as a trailblazer in the automotive industry, being the first Japanese car to feature dual overhead camshafts, electronic intake manifold injection, and a diesel engine in a sports coupe. Acquired from a classic car collection six years ago, the 117 Coupe has been part of the seller’s esteemed collection ever since. With a strategic shift in their collection focus and after liquidating a significant portion of their assets, the seller has decided to offer this unique vehicle for sale.

The car is in excellent original condition, although there are a few signs of age, including a crack in the dashboard and a dent in the hood. This vehicle offers a rare opportunity for Japanese cars collectors and enthusiasts to own a significant piece of Japanese automotive history. Find it for sale at €16,900 (today $18,000) here in Stolberg, Germany.
