Spider not because it’s open, of course, but because the nose of this car always reminded us of the four eyes of the well known arachnid.

This is not the first R8 Gordini we have spotted for sale in France where, of course, these cars were built by Renault which gave their engine to Henry Frétet and Amedeo Gordini, the Italian wizard transplanted in France where he built up his great career in building winning cars.

This car is said to be restored, both for the body and for the engine; also the brakes have been redone and the seller had the attention to take a picture of the R1135 Gordini plate inside the boot. That’s an important detail as many of these cars are fake but of course that’s not enough: the first step before buying one of these cars is doing an accurate due diligence and to do some homework. Said so, this is the cheapest Gordini for sale so far. Find it for sale at €30,000 (today $33,500) here in Mérignac, France.
