It’s the first time for this Classic Cars expo which has been hold in Verona (last weekend) by the same guys of the Auto e Moto d’Epoca hold in Padova, every last weekend of october: this last one is among the three major expositions of classic cars, spare parts and automobilia all over Europe along with Techno-Classica in Essen (Germany) and Retromòbile (France).
It could seem strange but actually isn’t: last year we heard rumors that the organizers were planning to move the show from Padova to Verona (which has a better transport logistic), and we do think that actually this has been a “beta test”, just like the “episode zero” in the TV world.
Apart from those considerations, we must say that this fair has pretty convinced us: of course as a first edition there were not many peolple, but this was a good thing as we could see better all the cars for sale and those shown in other pavillons.
There were many pavillons with expositions of Classic Car Clubs, automotive firms (Porsche, Maserati, Volvo etc.) and a lot of cars for sale.
The quality of the cars for sale was pretty high, there were a lot of “nice to have” among Porsche, Alfa and BMW; unfortunately prices were quite high but we expected it.
Differently from the terrible organization of other shows like Villa d’Este (we’ll talk about it in a dedicated article), which are good only for the participants, this show was very spectator-oriented.
Many photos done as well, you can enjoy them through the slideshow below. iOS users can see them clicking here.
