Polaris and blue: 1971 BMW 3.0 CSi

We do not know if you have the perception of what happened to the values of the BMW E9 series, if not, we will make a short summary.

Briefly, the E9 series, which is the flagship series of BMW production between the end of the 60s and the mid-70s, was practically ignored by the world of classic car collectors until ten years ago. Of course, this series has always had admirers because – and one who has owned one is telling you – it is simply an exceptional car: if you drive one in good condition you would be surprised to think that it is a car designed in the late 60s.

Well, the result is that you could have taken home an E9 in pristine condition for $ 30k ten years ago, today you need at least four times as much, not to mention the specimens in top condition. So here is this 3.0 CSi: it is not a top model but it seems in very good condition; nice bodywork, air conditioning, definitely reupholstered seats (being from 1971 this CSi should have seats with longitudinal stitching) and an engine compartment, although not for show, quite clean. Of course, there are no photos of the underbody and it should be seen much more in detail but we assure you that at the same price we have seen cars that are aesthetically worse than this one. Find it for sale at €60,000 (today $70,000) here in Bari, Italy.
