UK joins US: 1959 Austin Healey 3000 “Banshee” by FiberFab

We have already spoken in many past articles of the fiberglass era between the mid-50s and the mid-70s: in this period FiberFab was one of the leading companies.

In fact, it has created kits for many models: in the past we have published one of these kits, the “Banshee”, installed on the chassis and engine of an MGA; in this case the same kit (if not quite the same, it is very similar) was applied to the chassis of an Austin-Healey 3000, with a further upgrade.

The upgrade consists in the replacement of the “small” three-liter engine with a very American V8 Ford with a displacement of 289 cubic inches: in the worst case scenario, we are therefore talking about a power of 180-200 hp which, on this car, are definitely many. Having said that, the car needs to be totally restored: there is certainly a lot of work to be done but I am talking about a very complete car, not damaged, with all the components in place, you cannot want much more to begin with. Find it for sale here in Dade City, FL, with bidding at $1000 and reserve not met.
