In 1950, when this model was first presented, the displacement of 1900 c.c. was very large for the Italian and European market in general, indeed this car was an absolute flagship.

In fact, it should be borne in mind that in 1953, the year of production of this car in particular, the typical sedan of the ‘bourgeois’ family father was the Fiat 1100-103, much cheaper to buy and maintain than the Alfa, yet not many could afford it: the 1900 Alfa Romeo was therefore the sedan preferred by established industrialists and professionals.

However, being for the time an expensive sedan to maintain, in the years following its production exit, this model has met a bad fate: most of these cars have been crushed and recycled as scrap metal, very few have been preserved. This car has probably been “forgotten” in some garage or barn, it seems complete but the seller only says that the car has no documents and he does not add anything else: we add that this car is Mille Miglia eligible but certainly it is not yet ready to join it.
