A cooler summer: 1972 Lancia Fulvia 1300s “Spider”

That’s the very first time that we see a job like this made on a Lancia Fulvia Coupé. Generally seeing a work like this on italian cars is quite odd, with the exception of some very particular cars like the Maserati Ghibli 115 or the Ferrari 365 GTB/4 Daytona.

But in those cases who made the job simply copied something which yet existed, in this case who commissioned this job had a clear idea in mind, never explored (luckily or unfortunately) before. And, unfortunately, the seller hasn’t explained anything of this car but that is an homologated spider.

The work performed looks like it has been made by a skilled professional: the car doesn’t seem a simple “cut and stitch” job. But, building a spider from a coupé is not an easy thing: you must know how and where to strengthen the chassis to avoid that “fluffy” feeling of a car without its roof. Apart of these mandatory considerations, the car looks very nice: it has a beautiful color combo and, all together, it’s a very elegant assembly. Find it for sale at €31,000 (today $42,000) here in Trevi, Italy.
