Actually, this car needs much more than some cans of fresh paint: seats are missing too. However, with a lot of patience it could be a nice challenge.
The seller says that the car is basically solid, at least the body and the floors are, but there is rust on the door sills (as usual). The engine is said to turn freely but, anyway, on a car like this it must be disassembled in atoms to be completely rebuilt. However, these are tough engines and once rebuilt you don’t have to worry about them anymore.
The missing seats are a big lack on this car, but there are things much more difficult to source like the rare hubcaps and the soft top frame: this car has both and that’s a very good thing. The bumpers too are very difficult to find on the market and these look quite solid. Find it for sale at €13,000 (today $18,000) here in Padova, Italy.
