This 1961 AC Greyhound (chassis BEF2526) is said to have 41,617 miles from new and to have been despatched new on the 13/04/1961 in the same color combo (Black Pearl on beige) in which it’s shown now. The first owner was a new zealander official allocated in the UK.
Then the car came back to NZ along with its owner in 1962: the first owner held it for nearly 31 years. It’s basically a car which has been restored starting from a very good base: the leather should be still the original one and the original handbook and workshop manual will came with the car to the new owner.
The splendid two-litre, twin cam, inline-six engine looks immaculate and is mated to a four speed manual transmission equipped with a Laycock overdrive. A truly exceptional car for a british cars enthusiast. Find it for sale at AU$119,500 (today $105,000) here in Mitcham, Australia.
Hi
Caught my eye for sale as I am refurbing my AC Ace which was originally black pearl exterior and a red leather interior
Whilst I have a later AC cars colour chart I don’t have the early one with this colour in
I noticed this greyhound had an owner for many years before it was restored and wondered if you could help me out with a paint code for the black pearl colour as I assuming the new paint colour on this car was matched to its original colour
Many thanks in anticipation

Hello Allie, now it is difficult to reach the former owner of the car. Have you tried to ask for the paint codes here: http://www.acownersclub.co.uk/default.asp
